Tonight was Trevor’s high school homecoming parade and football game. (His school won the game 34 to 21.) The marching band performed in a small parade they had before the game, and also during halftime. A video of the halftime performance is at the bottom of this post.

Trevor marched and played the smallest of five bass drums in the Gemuetlichkeit Days parade today. This was his first parade playing a bass drum. He previously played the cymbals in the marching band this past summer. Weather was really nice – sunny, and in the 70’s. We rented a SeaRay boat on Lake Mendota today for the afternoon. Had a great time cruising around, and even took Calvin and Trevor tubing in front of Monona Terrace and the Capital building. We took the lock from Lake Mendota down to Lake Monona. Lots of fun.

Calvin played in a soccer tournament this weekend, and the fields were super muddy. We had to power wash his socks and shoes when he got home. The teams he played in the tournament were ranked much better that Calvin’s team, so Calvin got a lot of time building up his goal keeper experience..!

Trevor and Calvin are back in school already. Trevor is a high school freshman, and Calvin is in 7th grade. Trevor has to leave home almost before the sun rises to catch his bus. Calvin gets driven to school by Dad.
